just had a 8 inch powered bazooka tube installed in the wifes pathfinder. will a 6 inch bazooka tbe fit behind the rear seat of a 2004 f-350 crew cab without needing to move the rear seat forward?
Yes, a 6" will fit, I have one in my 2004 F350 CC. I did have to remove the seat to get it back there, but once in place, the seat was bolted back down and no problems. You can bet it will never be stolen, as its not worth the time for a thief to remove the seat! I left the plastic tray in place, in fact, it helps hold the tube secure.
They are matched pretty good. I have an older model with the 85 Watt RMS built in amp, and this seems to track the head unit well. It won't satisfy the typical teenager who wants to shake the neighborhood, but it adds a nice punch to the radio without being boomy. I have the crossover set to minimum (I believe it is around 40 hz) with the volume set at maximum, driven by the high level inputs direct from the rear speaker terminals. Oh, I also have the stock 6x8 speakers replaced with Infinity Reference Series. These are two-way with rotatable tweaters that can angle the highs up from the lower positions the speakers are mounted at. Really helps the imaging of the highs. The rear speakers play directly into the side of the rear seats, so you need all the help you can get for the highs.
