You incert both wires into it either side and crimp it, then cover in heatshrink.
You can also buy the insulated ones from an autoparts store or radio shack. they may be easier for you, but either way works good.
The heatshrink method is a must on connections out side the truck that will be in the weather.

Thanks BRK- I used scotchlock that came w/window motor and 3 times I have had to dig in there- you know get to the motor- and reset the connection. Since these scothclicks came with the motor- I used them. I'll try the splice
