Hey guys. I have an interesting one for you. Is there any way to add the "one touch auto down" power window feature to the passenger window? I know Ford did it at one time, my '93 Probe had auto down for both windows, but only at the driver's side controls. The passenger was stuck with a regular power window switch. I don't know what kind of saftey or economical reason promted them to stop doing this, but it would be nice to drop both windows automatically anstead of tapping the driver's side and holding down the passenger's side.
So I guess the big dillemma is whether this feature is conrolled by a module that I can scavange from another driver's door, or if it is now built into the central "brain." Is there a sensor that tells the motor when to stop? I know the switch itself is physically differerent. This is for a '99 SuperCab XLT. I'm an electrician and former mechanic, so I'm not afraid to dive into the wiring as long as I know what I'm looking for. Thanks.
In the 98/2000 time frame several changes were made and I don't know what you have...The motor current is monitored and when it gets to a high enough level it stops driving the window. IE its at the top/bottom/or some kids neck is blocking progress. they are the same for all those years. I seem to remember that you can program/turn off or on the one button touch, but I think it is only on the drivers side. Adding it to the pass side I would think would be quit q chore......But it might be programmable. You need to check it out in a ford service manual on programming the options(I can't think of the formal name for it, Senior moment)) module.

I have the service manual on CD (~$10 - eBay!), I was just being lazy and wondering if anyone else had attempted it or knew off-hand whether it was feasable.
