i grew up on a farm where the nearest store of any kind was at least 10 minutes away. Larger cities were about a half hour away....i loved that. Now i live about 10 minutes outside a large city but i live on a dirt road and everyone on the block owns like 40 acres so we can't see any of our neighbors, which is nice.
