Sorry, I just noticed there was a response to a previous post. No, I didn't have any trouble codes, and I just cleaned it on a hunch. My truck's a little over a year old, with just 7,000 miles on it. I love the truck, but I'm not totally impressed at the idle.
My other 3 vehicles are cars/vans with automatics, and when they all have majorly smooth idles. In fact, one of the most frequent observations from new V10 users is how smooth the engines are.
Well, mine certainly does run smooth when its moving, but the idle is nothing to write home about. The rpm gauge is rock solid - ever since they performed the tsb on it - but the shifter **** bounces a good half an inch on occasion, even though the steering wheel is isolated so you can't feel it.
So my thinking was that maybe I just need to regularly clean the MAF, and I did. I do think it helped, but I"ve only driving it once so I don't really know yet. If I conclude that it did help I'll report back.
