Fuel Line Coupling Release Trick ???????
I'm removing the engine from my 1986 F150 with 302 FI and need to disconnect the fuel lines. I am using the plastic clam shell coupling release tools but can't get either the supply or return line couplings to release. Am I missing something or do I just need to apply more force? I can feel the garter spring expand when I use the tool but it just won't release. Any ideas?? Thanks, Jim Pennycuff

The plastic tools are hit and miss, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't... be sure to be pushing the line towards the tool as well, and twist it at the same time. The "quick release" doesn't very well, there are 3 little spring tangs that hold it, and they can be very obnoxious to get to release...
