I hope i don't give the impression on my very first post that I'm a total retard......but ...I can't figure out for the life of me how to get those spring line coupling apart! I've removed the clips...but it just won't pull apart. Is there a tool to release the garter spring? Thanks, Tiler
Yes there is a tool to release the garter spring. You can pick them up at any auto parts store. Iv'e heard of people using needle nose pliers to remove the spring but iv'e always used the tool. I just changed the fule filter on my 1994 F150, and the lines were still difficult even with the tool.
:-) lghtingstruk,
Thanks a lot.......my fuel filter is under the truck and I have a little tool to pull the clips......but i decided to take the fuel rails loose and remove the injectors and clean them, replace the O-rings.....since I couldn't get the fuel lines apart I thought I should put that little project on hold! Thanks again, Tiler
