I have a '88 f-150 custom, and I am looking for some modifications for it, like lighst, possibly ground effects, and smoothy rims. does anyone know where I could find these parts for pretty cheap, because I cant seem to find anything really for this year truck. Also my truck has a lifter knocking and 206k miles and i plan on replacing the engine soon when i get out of bootcamp, can anyone give me any hints on where to look for an engine that might have a little better gas mileage, and can handle the strain of a drive from charleston SC to Pensacola FL 5 times a year? and would i have to put in a larger radiator?
Welcome to the the forum first of all!
You didn't say what size motor you have now. I would stick with a 302 or maybe even a 6 cyl for the long drives and keep gas mileage under control. As for body mods? I would want something like no other. My suggestion would be to do some drawings and let the creation begin.
Other than mud flares and things like that I am not too sure about what else is around.
