hitch rating ?
I'm moving this weekend and will be renting a trailer from Uhaul. I need to know what class the factory receiver hitch on my wife's 05 Expy is. Can somebody help me out?

Class IV indicates you have a round and rectangle wiring box at the hitch.
Class IV (without weight distribution hitch) = 600 max tongue weight, 6000 max trailer weight
Class IV (with weight distribution hitch) = 860 max tongue weight, 8800 max trailer weight
Class IV (without weight distribution hitch) = 600 max tongue weight, 6000 max trailer weight
Class IV (with weight distribution hitch) = 860 max tongue weight, 8800 max trailer weight

yes, smaug, sorry, I believe I may have been wrong. You should verify that. I think the 8000 lb is an option and if you have it, you should also have an electronic brake, and a transmission cooler installed, I think they all come with Class III hitches with the 2 inch deal.
Class III will tow a Uhaul Trailer. I towed the biggest trailer UHaul had fully loaded with no problems.
