F250 front hitch question

Does anyone offer a fog light sparing front hitch kit? I see there are front hitch mounts but would like to keep my fog lights.

the position of the front hitch varies depending on the year. on the 05, the hitch cross bar was across the main radiator air opening , on the 08, the cross bar is under that area.

Solely out of curiosity:

1. What use does one make of a front hitch?
2. What does a front hitch do that a rear hitch does not?

Just trying to learn. Thanks -

Front mounted bike rack.
Also makes it possible to "push" the trailer while driving forward, in tight spots it is most helpful.

Also can put the generator on the front hitch when the truck camper is in the bed, and help shift some weight upfront.

If you are unfortunate enough to live "up north", most snow plows mount on a front receiver. Grandparents had one to launch the boat. Seeing around the slide-in camper to launch was nearly impossible.

with proper mount you can put a winch on to pull your self out and with same mount you can put winch on rear to help pull your selfout.

you can pull a camper and put bike on bike holder on front

you can pull a camper and put a fishing rod holder on front

you can pull a camper and put nice cooler on front with cargo carrier plus chairs etc.

LOTs of thing you can do with front mount hitch. I cant wait till I get mine on..

I have both the Curt and Bodiak front receiver hitches mounted on the front of my truck. If needed I could use a ****** block and double the capacity pull of my 12K winch. I also have a Ranch hand front grille guard mounted in unison with the two hitches.

I'm looking for information on the roof rack you used and the front support you made. Looks like a very nice setup. (I'm assuming you bought the roof rack and made the front support)

also to OP I use mine for my winch.

Kayak Rack

brandon_oma#692

The roof rack is a Yakima rack with a boat loader https://www.yakima.com/boatloader added to the drivers side.

The front rack: Prior to the kayaks I carried a porta boat in the same fashion. So I took my Fulton canoe carrier, turned the top bar over so that the eyes are pointing down, drilled and tapped my old Yakima roof rack's top piece from my OBS Ford and added a Yakima Rod. This was inspired from the commercial racks.
