A/c Charge???
My a/c seems like it needs alittle shot of freon..Has anyone done it themselves?? I know its not freon anymore and was wndering if anyone has done it themself...Its a 2000 F350

It's still freon just probably not R12. It is most likely R134A, unless someone has replaced it with something else. You can get a recharge kit at most auto supply stores that will recharge it. I would be worried about a leak. You might recharge it and then see how long it holds the charge. If it goes down in a short time it would be time to find a leak somewhere.

Be sure to add it on the low pressure side. Usually you'll see oil residue at the leak source (oil is suspended within the freon) or you can add a can of leak detector (usually a dye) and possibly see it better.
