Lilduke how are you doing

Well.... There are 3 levels to my yard. The one closest to fishing creek is under water. I expect the middle yard to be covered by the end of the day. It won't be too bad as long as we don't get a bunch more rain. However they are watching a tropical mass south of the carolinas that could be developing in to a depression.... Hoping that I'll get through this by the skin of my teeth.
Thanks for the concern though. Compared to how a bunch of other people(like in Wayne county) i have been very lucky. Usually 4-6" of rain over a short period of time and my house would be flooded. Thank god we had such a dry spring.
P.s. Don't worry about the meet for the truck show. Things will be dried out by then. Even in september of '04 when I had 2' of water in the house, eveything was cleaned up and back to normal in a couple of days. That flood hit the week before the fair. You would never know that the fairgrounds had 5' of water. Also, this house was originally a cottage built by bell atlantic for their execs to get away for summer retreats. It was built to take the floods. All my utilities come in above max flood, as well as the panel box.

I think duke took a direct hit from this flood, I heard on the radio this morning that 35% of bloom is under water and he is in one of the worst spots. The fairgrounds are flooded they always get it first, but I am sure they will have it cleaned up for the jamboree. I live only a few miles from bloom and we got 8.5 inches of rain in the past couple days, I couldnt get home from work yesterday because every road home was flooded.

I hope he's okay, i posted my cell but if he's out of the house he's probably not able to log on, not that this site should be his priority right now. I wish we could find out if he needs help, i'm sure a few of us would go up and lend a hand. He was generous enough to offer his place for our first GTG and also camping during the Jamboree. Maybe he'll find a spot to post from and we can find out how he's doing, and get his address.

I just got back from meeting Dave, he is doing good he has just been very busy. He has his family there helping him and he said they didnt need any more help. They got 5 feet of water in their house and lost everything in his yard except for one shed that he chained to a tree. He still wants to have the meet but he doesnt know if he will be ready his yard is a mess right now. Yesterday in our newspaper they said the jamboree might be cancelled because the fairgrounds sustained alot of damage. They are still advertising the show so its not cancelled yet, I will keep you guys posted on that. Dave said that he will post in the middle of the week and let us know how he is doing and if he can have the meet.
