I'm glad he's okay, thanks for posting back on the situation. There are some members from FTW Pennsylvania Chapter up there camping at Turners Campground, they posted some pics of the area, with the waters recedding it was looking pretty good for the Jamboree. I'm thinking of taking a ride up tommorrow to see if we can help out at all, depends on my wife's schedule. Oh! after i posted the location of Dave's house i found out how to locate last names. Still alot to learn about navigating the site. Again, thanks 79, you stopping by is what being a member in our own chapter is all about.
Thanks 79, it'll have to be an O'Douls, Amber of course. My wife has to work until 2 tommorrow, if we can shoot up then we will, otherwise we are probably going to come up on the 4th. I'm going to bring some slop clothes just in case we can help out somewhere. I posted my cell phone number give me a call so i'll have a way to contact you when we get there.
I have a house in Jamison city, whitch is 35 to 40 min. north of bloomsburg....this weekend my dad, unchle, my one buddy and myself took the motorcycles for a ride up ther to see if we still have a house.....it's crazy up there.....you can see the mud line on the trees in bloomsburg where the water was like 8 feet deep a good 1/2 mile from the river....seen a bunch of motor homes flipped over on route 487 north of bloomsburg....my house was ok.....our place is like 20 feet off the west branch of fishing creek....our neighbor lives up there....he said the water was all the way at the top of the creek....any more water and it would have went over....the bank of the creek is made of huge limestone rocks....most 3 to 4 feet round.....it took a good 3 feet off the bank....sink holes in the back yard....lots of roads closed up there....LOTS AND LOTS of damage....i took a bunch of pictures....i'll post some of them.....it was unreal....i feel for the people up there....i'm pretty sure i seen somethign about federal aid applications are now available, so thats a good thing because lots of people will need them....
88, I believe 79 said LilDuke lived on Fishing Creek in Bloomsburg. He stopped by his house to see how he was doing, Posted that his house had 5 ft. water in it, the yard was a mess. Duke said he's still going to make the effort to have his property ready for the weekend, if he makes it i quess we'll have to tread lightly. Duke said he'll probably post Wed. to update us. I got his number from 411 and tried to call but got no answer, wanted to see if he needs help on his cleanup.
I really would like to meet at his place but first things first. Can't really impose on someone who just had a natural disaster wreck everything. Could drive all over his property with monster mudders, help mix that creek mud into his soil, should make for good grass. Nothing like a little flood waters to help update the landscaping. Maybe we can even have a little paint party to clean up the house fron the water marks and mildew. A bunch of drunk truck enthusiasts with paint brushes, imagine the color schemes and designs.
any good artists on the site? we can paint it to look like a moded out 350 Power Stroke with big diesel stacks blowing smoke and burning out. add air horns to the doorbell.
LilDuke,
Haven't heard from you since Saturday, how is it going up there. The offer still stands for some of us to come up and help rock and paint or whatever you need.
