I was hoping someone could clue me in about HighBoys. I have a 1970 HighBoy that I know nothing about. If someone has some info that they'd love to pass on, it would be greatly appriciated. Thanks
Well let me try, My 70 had a 360FE 2bbl originally, NP435 trans,Dana 24 divorced tcase,closed knuckle,drum braked Dana 44,Dana 60 rear,no power anything, could fit 33's stock,35's with a little lift,indestructable,& the best truck Ford ever built.
It's my understanding that Ford never actually called any truck a Highboy (or Hi-Boy), but it's a nickname that's been given to F-250 4x4's built from '67 to '77-1/2 with a divorced transfer case. If you do a search through the forums, you can find a slew of threads on this. Heck, you can find a lot of info about everything Ford truck-related here somewhere!
