Whining noise?

Whining noise?
Has anybody had a whining noise on their 05 F-150 between 45mph and 55mph?
It is kind of annoying. It sounds like it comes from the rearend. It just doesn't sound right. Any help would be great. THANKS

Seriously though someone should be along to help you. Is your truck and FX4?

Yep! My 04 with 9.75" LS rear with 3.73 gears had a light whine that gradually got worse. They replace the ring and pinion (kit) and it went away. It has come back (14,000 miles)and I am waiting on Ford to contact me again (the dealer can't hear anything????) According to what I read, it was bad gears from the supplier but I wonder if the gears are installed correctly. Mine makes a noise between 40 and 50 when it is neither under load or decelerating.
