BunkyBrian, we need some more information here, what gears are your axles, what tire size do you have and are you running an auto or a manual? If you have tall gears & tires and an auto, HiMe's cam suggestion will be fine. If you have a manual trans you can use more cam. Your engine would benefit from a duraspark ignition and running the bigger 428CJ exhaust valves helps too. For headers, if you like shortys get Sanderson, if triYs get Stans, these two companys are very good at FE pipes and will save you from some of the headaches that come with cheaper brands. What four barrel manifold are you looking at? Size of carb? Do you know about and did you fix your oiling yet? DF

my gears are 410 and im using a stock manifold, im trying not to sink too much money in this truck its an everyday driver except in the winter. its also a manual trans the carb ia a holley 600cfm,what about the oiling? i just want to give it a little boost and i wanted to get the rite cam, also more info on where i can get the headers. thankx
Don’t forget he is asking for a mild cam and only has a 360. As the cubes get smaller the same cam gets bigger. Just would hate to see him get overcammed. Personally I like the Melling cam, not too aggressive, good vacuum and easy on the valvetrain. With a stick and 410, you could go bigger if that’s what you want. For headers, check out http://stans-headers.com/ and http://www.sandersonheaders.com/.
