If someone posts a commonly asked question, why make such a big deal out of them not reading the FAQ section. Honestly, I wonder how many have read through all that before they started reading and posting current stuff. Just simple "Heres some good info on what you're looking for" would do. Or let someone else post an answer and let it go. I have personally answered the same disc brake conversion and EFI conversion questions over and over again in the EB forum. When I get tired of it, I go away for a while because someone else will answer.
You share a lot of valuable information, but the **** retentiveness and arrogance of this forums moderator is ridiculous. All of the other forums I am involved with on FTE, the moderators just let it roll and take care of the major stuff that comes along. They don't jump on every little snafu and make a big issue of them. The forums work great this way and those involved don't feel like 3 year olds in day care.
Just my $.02 (if it mattered)

I have a feeling the problem here is the Monotonous question
"What is a Highboy"
not the discussion of highboys and their special characteristics.
you can Redundant to Monotonous as well.
Posting the same type of topic over & over again is not frowned upon .
The simple and already answered in-depth ones are though.
The other one is the "how do I remove the headlight switch & wiper *****" but it is a valid question at any time.
Eric went to the trouble of posting a a FREQUENT question thread so that info is readliy available and users don't have to sit around waiting for an answer.
The thread has a "Read first" moniker which means users are supposed to read it first to associate themselves with how things work on the 73-79 forum...not how they work on other forums.
If they so choose they have read first threads on those forums as well.
Quote: If its that much of a PITA, then don't look or don't reply.
People "Have To" Because:
What is so hard for users to tell the new guy or old user that didn't read it there is an explanation of "What determines a highboy" in the FAQ thread ?
Then start a thread that discusses the differences between a highboy and a stock height truck ......in a technical way.
