Well, I installed the blue CPS....can't really say I see a difference. I guess time will tell. Did anyone else have a beatch of a time removing the old one.....it did NOT want to come out.....I guess 130k miles in one spot, you kinda want to stay there hahahah.....Next up....my downpipe and 4" exhaust system...can't wait
I heard a rumor that claimed there was a difference in metallurgy to resist corrosion better, but I can't confirm that.
I did replace a CPS on our company truck with a DT466 and it looked identical to the one in my 7.3.
A similar sensor (hall-effect) is used on some Harley Davidson models and it is also more prone to failure than most of the other parts. I suspect that this style of sensor does not hold up to engine vibrations and/or heat. That being said I can't say that I know of anything that would work better. I sure would like to see a cutaway version of one.
