go to your local muffler shop and get a price quote. To save time, call them. The govt is fickle about those cats, and the shops aren't supposed to sell you anything except "THE" cat.

First, make sure you need cats. Any shop can do a simple backpressure test to see if they are clogged. But if they are good, keep them.

If they are bad...
Magnaflow high-flow cats on E-Bay.
Around $60 each.

I'm in CA, land of smog-*****. I have a supercharger, tons of mods and just two Magnaflow high-flows (I gutted the pre-cats). Passed smog, both visual and the sniffer test, no problem.

You need the OBDII cats. They'll be universal fitment, so talk to the seller to make sure you get the right ones.

These cats shoild look almost identical to the factory cats. Have the shop mount them upside-down so the name "Magnaflow" isn't visible.

Fightin' Irish is correct that they govt can be fickle about these. At least in CA, no shop is supposed to touch the cats...unless they are fouled. But all they have to do is fill-out some paperwork for the state, indicating the cats were indeed bad. No one actually looks at the cats - they go to the recycler. Then you are clear to replace them, and they can't make you pay $1000 for the factory ones, so the aftermarket ones were fine.

Some shops shy away from cats on newer vehicles, so you may have to shop around. It's not illegal to replace bad cats, but the paperwork scares some shops or something because it's not really a big deal .
