After all this time of being part of the group I finally have something of a gallery. Not much and seeing it really makes me feel like I have accomplished very little, but every day I think I could finish it in a week. Just big hopes I guess. Lets see what you all think.
built for hp is right. It has 65 289 heads for higher compression, scorpion roller rockers, flat top pistons, an isky cam with .517 lift all arp bolts or studs, 600 holley dp, weiand x-celerator intake blah blah blah oh and an all msd ignition.
Oh the mexican part is basically where the block was casted. It says Hencho in Mexico in the lifter galley, there are many theories that go with it but the one that is true is the one about the main caps being just a little bit thicker than standard caps.

I think the decks and cylinder walls are thicker too, to cope with detonation on crappy mex gas (Petromex)
Dragrace? sure I like the idea of that but show only? no way. I love to use what I build. I have had the rear done for a while, along with the all disk brakes and moser axles. I just love to go fast and leave two marks on the road, not just one, . I should have more pics this weekend also. Its a little bit further than the current pics. Thanks for the support.
Unless we are talking about two different things a spool locks the differential like a gokart axle. That works great for straight ahead accelleration, but makes it a bear to turn a corner since the inside tire must slide to do so. That puts a lot of strain on the axle and wears tires. On wet pavement it may not want to turn at all, or will push very badly. Should an axle break (inevitable with the strain being put on it) the vehicle will make an instant turn in towards the broken axle side. If you want to be able to street drive it, but get the equal straight ahead drive on both wheels, I'd suggest you take out the spool and put in a ratchet type diferential like a Detroit Locker, but they are noisey. A clutch or torsen type limited slip would be my choice as the best of all worlds.
Like I said I like to use what I drive and drive it I will. You are right the spool does lock it at all times but thats what I want. The axle can break just as other things do but thats why I got beefier axles. Sure you cant prevent everything by beefing things up but I gotta do what I wantand really can afford. Thanks for the headsup anyway, and I do always like reading your advice as it is highly respected. I originally planned on driving it mostly as a daily but with driving 100 miles on way a day its not really feasable. It will be a weekend cruiser along with nights though.
