Injector Pressure Regulator
Will the Injector pressure regualtor form a 1999-2003 7.3 fit a 1997 7.3?
I have a feeling I need to think about changing mine. Frined has an extra 1999-2003 unit .
Knock on wood...have not visited for a while since the 7.3 is purring right along.....too busy working...to catch up after the cell phone driver t-boned me...and put the truck out of service for nearly 2 months. Boy I wish Ford still made the rocker for a crew cab...

As far as I know it will work. This is the information that I have:
Year (1994-1995.5) IPR Valve wtih Edge Filter: International # 1833798C91; Ford # F4TZ9C968CB; Alliant Power # AP63401.
Year (1995.5-2003) IPR Valve without Edge Filter: International # 1841217C91; Ford # F81Z9C968-AA (updated to AB); Alliant Power # AP63402.
There are 4 more International # that preceed the one listed for the 1995.5-2003, if you need them ask and I'll post them.

I do not know what the symptoms would be, sorry. But EDGE FILTER means a close tolerance between parts is used to help build or regulate pressure. I believe, but don't hold me to it, that the early style had a closed end and the newer style had an open end.
