I am thinking of swapping out my front ttb for the solid axle setup. Has anyone here done the swap? And what were the results? ( long term ) And last but not least, are the any big no's to watch out for?
if you do a search, lots of people have done it, myself included. most people go to a dana 44 from a 78 or 79 bronco or f150. i went to leafs when i did mine, so it was a little bit more complicated.
I did it on my truck i took that silly dana 50 off and put on a dana 60...but what is the truck you want to do this to?then i can give you more info.only thing i can see is the ride going down the street isnt as nice anymore but offroad its better.

well I guess i had my head inserted in the wrong place, 88 f150 4x4. I would rather go the leaf sprng set up, i have read some posts about the conversion. But i am mainly wondering about how it turned out over time, i.e front tire wear.
It seems that the leaf spring conversion would be a lot easier. But i also know that i am going to run into sterring issues, so i am still split on which way to go
