This is what i have done so far:
1) i rebuilt the cab,
2) clean plugs,cap,rotor and
3) replaced the rubber hose at the back of the tank
4) new fuel filter hose at fuel filter
looks good and a new float today
the fuel pump will fill a small bottle of water in 5 seconds..... is that good?
so what eles ?
as of today i just put in a new eng black box but no luck so i really need some xpert help here!!!!!!!
Sounds like bad fuel or fuel filter.
Even though you changed it.
The engine needs 3 things to run:
1) Air
2) Fuel
3) Spark at the correct time
How many miles on this engine ?
After the engine bogs down and quits ,with engine off did you check the carb to see if it squirts fuel ?
Where do you have spark?
at coil
at plugs
at wires

(like Mil1on said)
On the 79, isn't there something else with the spark too Dennis? I have a points ignition but I remember you earlier stating something about a control modual or something like that for a similarly stated problem a year or so ago.
So many times the problem is just a wire coming loose or just corroded.
He doesn't say whether he fiddles with the wiring/connection or anything.
So right now, it's just a guess.
