Aloha, Welcome to the site

Sorry I can't help you because I can't read your post

You used "upper case" and I don't know what the topic is because it isn't in the title

Btw, Upper Case is consdered Yelling

and I don't know why Matt never edited it out

I can help you understand what to do on FTE though when posting to make it easier for everyone here.

Maybe start with reading post #1 on this thread labeled Read First:

Now in Lower case:

Quote:
hi iam new so here goes i have a 79 f250 when i start it it runs good but then you take it out for a drive then is starts to bog out and then quits and hard to start orr it will run good for 15 min then act up.

This is what i have done so far:

1) i rebuilt the cab,
2) clean plugs,cap,rotor and
3) replaced the rubber hose at the back of the tank
4) new fuel filter hose at fuel filter

looks good and a new float today

the fuel pump will fill a small bottle of water in 5 seconds..... is that good?

so what eles ?

as of today i just put in a new eng black box but no luck so i really need some xpert help here!!!!!!!

Sounds like bad fuel or fuel filter.
Even though you changed it.

The engine needs 3 things to run:

1) Air
2) Fuel
3) Spark at the correct time

How many miles on this engine ?

After the engine bogs down and quits ,with engine off did you check the carb to see if it squirts fuel ?

Where do you have spark?
at coil
at plugs
at wires

Seems like fuel filter or bad fuel to me.
(like Mil1on said)

On the 79, isn't there something else with the spark too Dennis? I have a points ignition but I remember you earlier stating something about a control modual or something like that for a similarly stated problem a year or so ago.

I think what he calls a black box means what is really the I/M.

So many times the problem is just a wire coming loose or just corroded.

He doesn't say whether he fiddles with the wiring/connection or anything.

So right now, it's just a guess.
