I don't shop at Target because of them banning the Salvation Army at Christmas. It has nothing to do with family values, it has to do with charity.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did you tell the manager that you be won't be shopping there anymore for that reason ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When ever I have a concern about stuff like this , I let them Know.

I'm not sure what sense that makes:

Nice find Dennis- unlines the importance of getting all the facts first before making a decision.

A very wide paint brush could be used to answer this one. I know what the OT poster is asking, but there is not a real definite answer. Yes, boobie bars and boinkin' houses would fall in to the" poor" family value ratings. At the same time I have been at church outings, friends picnics, ballgames, cardgames, truckpulls, weddings , funerals, etc. to where there was at least two or more people presenting the very lowest rating of human "value" and character. It is all about the person, not necessarily the environment.

Good pickup on that one Campbell,

"At the same time" was the wrong verbage used, my bad typing again. Ha, even a heathen like me would not go to a boobie bar and church outing the same day.

I kind of have a 2-tier answer to this. My parents are very conservative Christian and I have always operated, for the most part, under the restriction that if a particular place is a place I would be embarassed to have them find me at I won't go. Now that I have kids I've added them to the criteria. Would I be ashamed of what is going on here, if I had to explain it to my kids. (Works for TV too)

(I guess a strict following of the old WWJD policy would work as well)

Which brings the local Tony Roma's rib joint to mind. There's limited parking in their lot, but there's a boobie bar across the street..... There always seems to be available parking in front of it (busy street). I have no problems parking in front- but friends almost had a heart attack when I suggested they park there, instead of two blocks away, when we took their car out to dinner
