Family values

Just how important is it to you? I'm curious as to does it affect where you go or visit? do you avoid places that lack them? etc etc ...

I like to make my own decisions on where I go according to my values.

Most of the places that I like visit are out in the wilderness; not too many people around.

I'm not into going to places that have crowds; except a few cars shows, of course.

Im not much of a people person either however, its not good to isolate children from society they dont learn anything that way. Im not talking about a family outing to the ghetto to teach them a lesson but if you expose them in the right manner they learn the do's and donts of being in public and if your lucky, theyll learn to not like it either

I do ok with small groups, but large crowds tend to annoy me. I don't let it stop me though. My kids get plenty of exposure, and I hope I teach them not to be the way so many have become...

Maybe I'm just being lame here, but I'm not sure I understand the question. Do I go to places that aren't on the family values list (girly bar, adult video store, etc)? (no) Or do we go to places that are OK to take the kids along? (generally, yes)

I'm not a people person which doesn't have anything to do with the question. I think family values are important and when the wee bairns were home, we conducted ourselves as family should. The right movies, the right social activities, the right friends.

I hadn't realized how boring we were until they all moved out.

> do you avoid places that lack them

I guess I am confused. How do you determine what places have family values and pertaining to what? A parts store, food shopping, DQ, the corporation itself?

I don't shop at Target because of them banning the Salvation Army at Christmas. It has nothing to do with family values, it has to do with charity.

I guess I would have to ask, what do you consider "family values"? A place in the men's or women's room to change diapers?
