dash gauges don't work
2003 Expy XLT 4 x 4. I am hoping someone has been able to resolve this problem. From time to time the electronics in my dash quit. It is always on start up. The radio, power windows, and the instrument gauges don't work. The air bag light flashes and the rear defrost comes on and you can not turn it off. I can drive for a bit and shut the truck off and restart and it's fine. The truck is kept in the garage. I have heard of problems with leaking windshields and water getting into some module. Sometimes it will happen after a rainstorm or car wash, but there have been times when the truck has been dry for a week and it happens. The stealership has looked at it and since they can't replicate it they don't think it's a problem.

well, mine is way far from being perfect :S
when I bought if about 2 months ago, I noticed after a storm that it was leaking water from the handle, the one that is next to the dashboard, I inspected the winshield and found a little hole where the windshield weatherstrips meet. so I bought sillicon and fixed it, BUT 2 days ago rained like hell here in Austin, and my father found another leak, this one is on the ceiling, right above the the ligh on the second row of seats :S I was inspecting in the top of the truck to see if there was something wrong but everything looks perfect :S I took the light assembly off and I can see a seam from where the water may be leaking but I dont know where is the water coming from :S
is it coming from the moonroof? but how come the DVD system is safe and dry?
Any suggestions??
