refurbishing interior door panel
If they're cracked or rotted at the top, there's really no way to fix that. But you could go to LMC truck or NPD and get new ones in any color for $169.
If they aren't that bad that they're cracking and falling apart, you can lightly sand the areas that are flaky and uneven, wipe them down with alcohol to get off the dust and grease or any oils and then use dye to color them. Don't use paint because it won't hold onto the door panel. But dye will hold forever if it's done right. Just remember, the better the prep you do, the better the finished product will be.

What color panels are you looking for? I have some nice maroon ones w/ the chrome trim and even the bottom matching carpeted map pockets. Manual windows and locks.

Give me a sec....
I just took photos, now I am trying to figure out how to add them to the post. I have the entiore red interior out of a Reg Cab. Full trim on the interior (headliner, kick opanels window trim, inside cab corner trim, but I am having those items redone in black for my new interior, so those aren't for sale. I have a ton of stuff.

P.S. They are a little dusty. No cracks, very minor fading in some places. Dash pad is super, no holes, cracks. Visors are super too, not loose. Map ockets could use a little carpet cleaner I think.
I'll take better pics and clean them up. Excellent shape in my opinion. In fairness, I was responding to slaymet69, who has not responded yet, big hoss 29 was next in-line, so you would be 3rd in line. However, I think the first 2 members were interested in the door panels, and Lariat 85 was first interested in the Dash pad, so the other items may be available. I have the entire interior from the donor truck. Best shape I have come across in quire awhile, especially the dash pad. No holes on the speaker grill and no cracks. I am keeping the other interior trim pieces (kick panels, headliner, window trim and rear cab trim since thos pices are in excellent condition and I am re-doing my interior to black (I also ready have the excellent used black deluxe door panels and dash pad from another donor truck. The salvage yard near my house usually has many 80-86 and 87-91 Ford F-Series and Vans available, so I usally pick up the good interiors. So if the first in line interested FTE members do want the items, I should be able to get some more sets for you. I have the "tan" interior in my truck and that color, in my opinion, seems to wear out faster than the other colors. Red seems to be the better lasting of the factory colors. Of course, my truck lives outside and not in a garage it's whole life. Thanks for your interest and I will keep you posted on the status of the other members interest on these items.

I keep reading about dying interior plastic, like it's something that's gonna soak into the plastic. Well guess what, it's a coating. And what's another word for coating in the industry? Yep, PAINT! A true interior coating would have a flex agent in it so as to not crack under reasonable conditions.
I painted some hard plastic (ABS) like four years ago with a regular spray paint....still looks brand new....ABS doesn't need a flex agent.

Beater, you are 4th in line for the door panels above. I was just at my local salvage yard and I saw another set of Maroon ones in similar condition that I am going to pick up tomorrow. I also saw a nice grey set, but they did not have the chrome trim around them. Are you looking for maroon in particular?
I just cleaned up the above set and will be posting them later tonight.
