I have a 1967 mercury pick-up with just the rubber molding
around the windshield. I need to change the cracked windshield.
Can someone tell me how to get the windshield out and the
rubber molding off as at this point I think I will change both.
Thanks for any help offered. Don.
1:Use a box knive on the inside of truck on rubber.Cut deep all across top and sides.(no need on bottom).
2:Rip rubber you cut out.
3:Push straight out and lift the mes free from truck.
4:New windshield, use silicone spray on rubber, pushrubber onto new windshield, use duct tape to keep it on if it wants to slip off.
5:Clean windshield jams on truck
6:Set windshield in at bottom, try to push down to seat rubber.
7:Sorry,a little late, run small rope in so that both ends come out at bottom.
8:Need a freind, seat rubber with hands with you pull rope towards you.
9:Once all seated put truck out in direct sun for long as possible.
No gooey crap to seal it.Corners maybe?I never have.
I bet i missed somthing but hope i helped
