Hello Fellow Ford owners,
I have a 1988 F-150 (302 EFI, automatic), 113000 miles. It has dual fuel tanks. It is not sending any high voltage from the coil/pack. I replaced the coil/pack and it started and ran for approximately 5 minutes. Now it's just like it was with the old coil/pack, NO FIRE!! Anyone ever had this problem, or know what may cause this? I'm baffled.......Thanx guys!!

Need more information. Are you getting a spark at the plugs when it is cranking. I have the same truck and I have replaced two ignition modules over the years .Make sure you have power to the coil.Connect a test light from the tach terminal on the coil to ground.Crank the engine. If the light doesnt flash it may be the ignition module or a broken wire .
mississauga....There is no spark coming from the coil to the distributor, therefore no spark to the plugs. It well may be the ignition module..I'll check, Thanx
Sorry 'bout that Guys....It was the ignition module!! Had to pull the distributor in order to replace it. Accidentally wiped off my marks, and had to go through the whole nine-yards of timing. But "Gotter Done", she's running like a new one. Thanx for all of the advice from everyone. Couldn't have done it without you Guys........
