90EFI-Cat removal

I know that i will need to make sure the O2 sensor is placed into the exhaust tract if I remove the cat-converter, but what do I need to do with the tubes that come into the cat? Do they need to be fitted into the pipe that replaces the cat or can they just be left hanging?

i guess your talking about the two air injection tubes,they can go back on the new cat which have its own tube adapter for the air pump or just leave them hanging,they only blow out the air from the air pump for emissions,or just eliminate the air pump for now,put on a shorter belt
