I have a 1989 F-150(been sitting for a year) that I would like to take a cat off of and transplant the cat on my 1988 Bronco. The F-150 passed emissions last time it was tested(2 years ago) I was wondering if it sitting for year would hurt the cat or not. I have a project(dual exhaust on my Bronco) and I need a second cat. Is there any reason why that cat won't work???? Now for another question, with my dual exhaust project I would like to do it for as cheap as possible(the reason I want to use that cat from the truck), I found some univiseral cats at PepBoys for $80 they don't have an air hole though, If the one out of the truck don't work will it be a problem to use a universal from PepBoys???
Try a search on ebay. I got a carsound universal cat for under $50.00 shipped to my door. The guy has hundreds of them. Magnaflow makes these and sells them as carsound.

Thanks Pat,
If it comes down to me having to buy a new one I will check Ebay out, althought I am always leary of buying from anyone on Ebay.
I would like to get away with using the cat off of my old truck and transplant it to my Bronco, but I am not sure if it will work OK or not, we have emission testing here in Ohio and the cats HAVE TO work.
