Hi folks, I'm brand new to the forum and this is my 1st post .. I can sure use some of your educated info, thanks for any help you can give this ol timer.
I have a 2002 F250 4X4 crew cab super duty that has developed a clicking under the dash .. this happens erraratically but is getting worse. When the clicking is happening the dash and courtesy lights also blink and dim. I took the dash cover, etc. off today to try to find the problem .. the clicking would begin just by opening the door. In my search for the origin of the clicking I found that the noise was coming from a rectangular box afixed to the firewall .. there are several sets of wires that plug into this box ... when I remove the center wire cluster plug ( green ) from the box the clicking stops. The clicking sounds like a relay that keeps rapidly clicking on and off erratically. HELP !!! Jessccs
Does the message format have spell check??

Reason: wasn't getting rresponse
I had the same thing happen to me. The noise is from relays under the dash. One day my truck would not start, turn over, just not start. Batteries were bad. The noise went away with new batteries. When the batteries start going bad, there apparently is not enough power for the relays to work correctly. Have the batteries checked.
I'm getting the same clicking noise also, mainly when it first starts. I have about
24000 miles on my 04 SD. How long should the OEM battery last in Texas heat?
Hurrahy!! I spent quite some time at Ford dealeer today .. found that my clicking was coming from the ANTI THEFT RECEIVER MODULE #2C7T-15K60 2- A6 ( $160.00) I suggest you go have diagnostic test run, could be a bad sensor on locks or etc. Good luck, Jessccs
