Hi All,
I have an 02 F350 Crew Longbed. I have recently developed a clicking noise under the dash when I push on the brake. Most of the time it sounds exactly like the flasher clicking whe the turn signal is activated. Sometimes it buzzes, it always happens when I depress the brake pedal. When it buzzes, it stops when I release the brake pedal. All my lights work correctly, brakes, turn signals and such. I found the box that it clicking and will Probibly replace it but I really want to know what it is; any help out there??
Could be the brake light switch going bad. Typically they have little contacts like a relay would and they pit and varnish. I havent had one of these apart but it couldnt hurt to disconnect it and take it for a short ride, on a back road of course, and see if you can induce the noise. if so its not it. Let us know if that is the problem?
