i forgot who wrote the install without removing the turbo, but thanks a bunch! looking at that up-pipe behind the turbo and my back problems scared the you know what out of me. still pretty damn sore after two days but still saved me several hours mechanics fee! anyone replacing their compressor wheel can be assured the turbo does not need to be removed!!!

Good to hear it went well. Did u happen to check out the inside of your housing for scratches? Mine had some around the shaft. Must have been debris being whipped around by the wheel.
Nut
no, luckily i did not. my wheel fins were garbaged from the oem filter leaking. been using the 6637 but am saving for the severe duty filter housing. psnut, thanks for your other way of doing this,it saved my behing in dollars and since!

That would most likely be Johnny8. He has an excellent gallery of how it's done.

after the install, did you notice an increase in power, was it more responsive, and was the turbo louder ?
Thanks, I was thinking about installing one

The turbo will definitely be louder - but the WW isn't gonna gain you anything other then getting rid of turbo surge/stutter. It won't gain you any performance - it is actually a little LESS efficient than the stock wheel - which is how it cures the surge - but you may actually LOOSE a boost psi # or 2....
