I have a 1990 F250 Diesel. It currently only has one cigarette lighter for power and I need more. I have seen adapters that add two or three additional outlets.
So here are my questions.
Would these harm my electrical system?
Would I splice it directly into the existing 12v cigaratte lighter's wiring?
If so would I still have enough power to run 3 outlets on one line?
Any other suggestions on how to power it?
I have two batteries under the hood, does that mean I can run things longer?

Reason: typo
The original outlet is fused, so if you overload it the fuse will blow. The older trucks had about a 10 amp fuse in them, you can check yours and see how large it is.
You have two batteries because your engine takes more power to start. So you can't necessarily use your outlet more, since you need more battery power to start the truck.
If you would like to run your accessories a long time without the danger of the truck not starting, you can run a third deep cycle battery with a battery isolator. The isolator would keep the starting batteries from being used when the engine was off, but would let the alternator charge the third battery while you are driving.
