Question paint concrete?

I work for a mechanic who's having me do his grunt work, when I finish that I get to help him out on cars and use all his fun equipment (he specializes in classic cars and has a 57 thunderbird with a 312 in it right now, as well as a 33 plymouth with a flat-6)

Anyway, one of his jobs for me is to scrape and repaint the curb-type things in hes lot, and the sections that are raised.

My question is, what kind of paint should I use (in lower michigan)? Latex, or oil? is there a special primer for either one or a specially formulated paint? We talked about this today and couldn't decide what to go with. Any suggestions? anybody done this before? Thanks

~Matt

You need to etch the concrete with muratic acid first.

After that let it dry real good and paint it with concrete paint.
No primer required.

Cheap labour?, not here.

Union city workers. Like our Cal Trans crew.

You know the sort.

6 man crew; 4 standing around, a flagman, and one painting.

I forgot to mention to wash the acid down with water once all the etching has been done.. I did remember the "Let it dry real good" part though.

Any difference between MURATIC ACID and MURIATIC ACID?

I know muriatic acid was the old name for hydrochloric acid.
