new v10!!

going to pick up my new 06 f-250 regular cab tomorrow, 4x4, xlt 4,10 gear 5 spd auto tan cloth interior, vinyl floor, esof, drk stone exterior, polished 17" wheels power mirrors, tow command controller, towing package bla bla bla, im hoping i liek the v10 power, i tried to find one to test drive here in the southest and the closet one was over 100 miles away, this truck was 250 miles away, im trading in my 05 f150 5.4 because i need a truck with a long bed and something to pull my pressure washing trailer and skidsteer, i hate the new 6.0, im a diesel fan and we have an 03 flatbed with a 6 spd 7.3, but for my dd i wanted a gasser

sorry i just had to vent my excitement

I've got an F350, CC, LB dark stone with Ariz beige trim. Truck is so nice looking I hate to take it out for fear of getting it dirty.

Kubota, I would be willing to bet a good chunk of change that you are going to love your new truck. The V10 is an engine that just keeps growing on you and 18 months of ownership has not dampened my enthusiasm one little bit. Best of luck with your new V10 and I wish you many happy, trouble free miles with your new truck. Wrench

Well after 2500+ post to FTE I guess a big welcome to FTE is a bit late.

Kubota...you are always welcome down here, the home of BSEG

I bet tommorrow you get a new found understanding about what that means

Good luck and congrats brother!

You'll love the V10....I just have 1500 miles on my 2006 with a 6 speed, and I drive it all the time, which is silly because my old Town Car gets almost twice the mpg....it's just a lot of fun rowing through the gears!!!

Congrats on the new truck! Sure hope you like it as much as most of us like ours.

Now that we've got you in a V10, we're going to have to work on getting that orange thing to turn green!

Orange boy

Wipe that drool off you chin ans shirt
Be-careful a BSEG face cramp can be painful

Only stare at it for short periods every hour during the first week

remember the break in process is best done with many many many cold to hot back to cold cycles

remember that it takes a long time to get enough hours and miles before max hp and torque arrive

I have in on good authority this forum has some excellent advice on breaking in all the systems especially the brakes

We all happy for you brother

Kubota, good to hear you are loving the V10. After driving a V10, the poor little 5.4 feels like its missing a couple of cylinders or something...............
...................... wait a minute..........mmmmm it is!
