Factory dash stereo display

Hello everyone. I have rcently purchased a 1999 expy and it still has the factory in dash stereo head. However, the display does not work anymore but the stereo and all controlas still do work, including the cd changer. I have checked everything I know how to check but cannot find anything.

Can anybody help?

Welcome t_lcohen! The problem is typically caused by a cold solder joint within the head unit itself. If you search the Explorer forums, you may find several posts that describe how to fix the problem; however, the fix is described for that model's head unit, not ours. But in any case, perhaps that would be a help to you.
