Pablo,
Aeros prior to 1990 did NOT have RABS, so there is NO controller or special solenoid RABS valve
your valve in photo is your proportioning valve....there is a shuttle piston inside with a strong spring in that screw on end cap....end cap has a small rubber plug in a hole in the end
spring and rubber plug like to fly off when removing
valve probably plugged with water, line rust and general road crud.....
remove and clean
if there is any corrosion on piston surface, replace unit
line out bottom runs to back brakes
can replace with proportioning valve off another vehicle as long as fittings are correct, can replace fittings
easiest is to find '80s Ranger, F150, Explorer, Bronco but they will probably be corroded also
That looks right to me too. Aren't these valves calibrated for each class of vehicle though. My experience is that these valves do not last well and are not a good salvage yard item. My thought is to replace with new. the adjustable valve is still a viable option. I think they are available is sverdlosk or somewhere in Kamchatka.
There is a valve on all the russian cars. It is on body near rear axe and connected to it by metal arm. I can see no valve on my aero!
These were available on older large vehicles here in the USA. It was an early form of mechanical RABS that made use of suspension motion induced by forward weight transfer to reduce pressure to the rear brakes. They stopped working when the springs started to wear out, allowing the suspension to sag. I think their use were discontinued when we started to get electronic ABS. If you can find a vehicle with one of these in you rlocal scrap yard, you might try adapting it to your van.
rust, corrosion on piston and chamber or water mix hairball brake fluid stew cause most of the problems in proportioning valves....prevent or impede travel of piston controlling pressure/fluid flow to back brakes
can try stretching spring 0.25 cm to start
