Rear brakes locks periodically! When I want to stop on red, rear wheels lock and skid, like if I use handbrake! Front brakes are OK! There is no ABS in my van! How to change brake force distribution! Where is a valve? Is it ajustible?
There is a valve on all the russian cars. It is on body near rear axe and connected to it by metal arm. I can see no valve on my aero!
If i brake in sharp curve I can turn like with handbarake!
Premature rear wheel lockup. rabs is supposed to prevent that. Install **** adjustable proportioning valve (pressure reduction valve) in rear brake line. works great. Order on ebay about 40 bucks american.
Hi Pablo, is that old van of yours still running??? it is amazing i did not think it would servive another Russian winter just goes to show how solid the aero is built. Mine is still running even after 6 months of my careless son using it, luckly i checked it the other day and found he had been running it for 3 days with the check oil light up, i gave it an oil and filter change and checked the water at the same time, guess what, little or no water, topped that up as well with anti-freeze. God please someone tell me what to do with my son, i did think about death by a thousand cuts but he dulled the blade on my box cutter the other day cutting up his weed (wacky backy) oh well back to the 1983 toyota untill he get's his truck fixed.
I don't think you quite understood perfectly, in order to be able to adjust the brake distibution, you need to aquire an adjustable proportioning valve. It definately sounds like the RABS valve.
I believe there is no proportioning valve as such in the rabs aero. the rabs system valving is a computer controlled proportioning valve. when rabs fails, no control of sensitive back brakes. Rabs sucks anyway, that is why it is not used anymore. Install adjustable valve in front of rabs valve. no need to remove rabs valve as it fails wide open. works very well. remove bulb from rabs light and have a beer. (vodka)
about 18 inches (30 cm) below master cylinder is the rabs valve, in the rear brake plumbing. Just unplug the wires and ignore it, install adjustable valve in this brake line right after the master cylinder.
If you can remove rabs valve, fine, mine was frozen in place and I just left it there. it fails wide open.
These valves are not adjustable. you must purchase, buy, kauf an adjustable valve and install between that valve and MC. Mine had wiring plug on outboard side of valve. My valve has two solenoid coils visible on the body of valve. Are you positive you have rabs?
