Stripe kit for 76 explorer

I have a 76 F250 camper special with the explorer option. I want to repaint and restripe the truck, just like it came from the factory. After I have it painted, I will need a factory type stripe kit. Does anyone know if this stripe kit like the factory stripes on the explorer package, is available? I have tried stencils and stripes, and phoenix graphix. Thanks Dan

Work with a sign shop to reproduce the stripes. The OEM stripes are not available and even if they were they would be no good. They only had a 6 month shelf life.

The only problem is that i would need some detailed photos of the explorer stripes from an original paint truck, in order to duplicate them. Anyone have photos like this? Thanks dan

You can also check www.oldcarmanaul.com to view a 876 truck brochure.

Besides tape..... a good paint guy can duplicate the stripes in paint.
They will last longer painted.

Hey Dan, I need to take some pictures and put together a gallery anyway.

I've got a 76 F100 Explorer with the original stripes. I'll see what I can do this weekend.

I always liked the way the 76 Explorers looked. That stripe may be dificult to realise in paint, I would think. It is complex to say the least.

I didn't forget about you, Dan! I put up a gallery of stripe pictures. Also, since FTE shrinks the images, in the photo descriptions I put links where you can see larger pictures. Hope this helps.
