Anyone have a bypass oil filter?. I see the articles in Diesel power mag and it looks like a wise investment. Just wondering if anyone has one and how it is working, also how much did it cost. thanks jeff
I've recently installed one after researching all that has been written here. Just do a search on this site for "oil bypass" and you'll have a night or two worth of reading.
I installed the "Oil Guard", one of our sponors, and it has worked great..easy to install and it is priced right and has good quality.. at $180.. see the link at the top of page..
Someone here mentioned that they have a Fleetguard that will spin onto the PSD with a bypass built into the regular filter. Since most bypasses require that you replace the spin-on filter every 10k, this may be a way to go, I just don't have a part number yet.
