1991 ford explore.the problem i'am having is when i need to add trans fld. it seems like it drains into oil pan cause when i check the oil level its like two qt.s over and yes i know where to add these fluids in case you are wondering.do i need to change transmission filter

why do you need to add fluid?
There is no pysical connection between the engine oil pan and the transmission fluid system, if you are losing fluid it is either due to a physical leak or a bad modulator valve.
If we can have the answers to the Q's we will be able to start assisting you.
