its in the VIN code. The 8th digit of you vehicle's VIN indicates engine type, VIN code E is non flex fuel v-6 W is the code for the 4.6 V-8 If the 8th digit of ur VIN is not E or W then you have the flex fuel model (I think it may be engine code X - but I'm not sure)

My '03 4.0L is like Dug's. It is Flex fuel and there is a sticker inside the gas filler spout door that has a green tree like symbol and says something about flex fuel. Just open your fuel door and look inside.
