AC compressor
hello everyone, I would like some help on the Ac compressor on my 1998 F150 v8 4.6. I just recharged it. pressure stays at 60 psi but the compressor kick on and off every few seconds. I am not losing pressure and a few months ago I had the compressor clutch repaired. any ideas as to why the compressor won't stay on.

the compressor has a suction side and a discharge side. i dont know the exact number, but you get abou t60 psi when the compressor is off. when it is running, the suction side drops to about 35 and the discharge side goes up to 120 psi. you need two gauges. if the pressure on one side stays at 60 all the time, the compressore is not pumping, line is plugged. when it cuts in and out, that is normally due to too much pressure, or to low of pressure and the switch is kicking out electrically.

thanks for the response, I did some further diagnosis on the ac system today, and the ac r134a had escaped the system, so I looked around and found a leak in one of the hoses, I will replace it and see what happens! thanks for the help
ps any one know were to get a cheep deal on ac hoses?
