When traveling through a parking lot, when trans shifts form 1st and 2nd, unless I pick up the pace a little, the trans shifts back and forth. Not your normal smooth shift, a rough and sudden jerk kind of action. Kinda violent, if you know what I mean. Plenty of fluid and no burnt smell that I notice along with nice red color. Shifts fine when on the road. Only occurs at " lot " speed. Are we talking about a fluid/filter change here? If the title is correct, my F100 only has 117,000 miles on it. ( ya think?!!!)
But seriously, I need some help getting pointed in the right direction. Anything I can do at home to save some labor bucks let me know. I'm not affraid to get dirty and I've got plenty of hot water for the shower. Thanks in advance for all replies.
Pull the line off the vacumn modulator to check for liquid in the line. If you find oil in the line you need a new modulator, but I have found fuel or water in the line also. Any liquid in the vacumn line can cause weird shifting.
