Hey whats goin on guys, I was replacing the rear main seal and front tranny seal in my dads 1991 Econoline E150 300 I6 auto this weekend, everything was going alright until we went to install the tranny back in. We spent HOURS trying to line this thing up and push it in and its just not going at all. Were using a jack stand and even with 2 sets of hands we can not get it back in. Is there anything we're missing? Any help would be appreciated, thanks alot

Is it binding up on the firewall drop down seam?
I had a problem with that on my
F-350. It would start in, but that annoying firewall seam kept binding up with the little "dog ears" (the top two tranny bolt holes) and I kept fighting it and it would fall out of place every time I did. So I cut that seam out. There is NO need for a seam that protrudes down about 1.5 inches. Then It just went in.
