Sorry you had to sell the truck. Sometime we have to do things that aren't so fun though. But, whatever you do, don't get rid of that girl. It sounds like she's got her priorities straight.
Seriously, if I ever meet a girl that likes my truck as much as I do, I'd be set.
Sad to hear you had to sell the 'stroke , but maybe one day you'll have another.
I understand having to sell something when you don't want to. I once had a cherry little 1972 BMW 2002 (NOT a 2002 BMW, but the model number '2002'). It was the most fun car - and the most practical car - I've ever owned. I absolutely loved it.
But I got into a financial bind in college - I had bills and tuition to make. I had the little BMW car, and a 1975 BMW R90S (which was also my favorite bike). I put both up for sale. Whichever sold first, was gone and I'd live with the remaining one. The car sold the next day - 5 minutes after the car drove away, someone showed up to buy the bike. While I didn't regret selling the car (I had to), I always regretted having to do so.
A few years later, I sold the bike to buy a house - and THAT one I regret to this day.
