An easier way to tap the current would be instead of using the switch in the dash would be to tap the circuit going to the compressor. Anytime the compressor is on, no coolant flow. You may want to put a cutout switch on it to control it for winter driving. The compressor needs to be run occasionally in the winter to keep everything lunricated.

The compressor also runs when you are using defrost, so not a real good choice I am thinking. But there might be a way of doing it so if the controls are in the AC position it would activate the valves.

Theres supposed to be a line you can tap into over on the pass side,I think near the vacumn pump that will work a valve..One of the sponsors carrys a kit to do it.I'm thinking ITP but I could be wrong.It's about 40 bucks. I just did the old fashioned style gate valve.
