2004 Explorer DEAD
My wife took the truck to church today and when she came out she needed a jump. When she got home and while the Truck was still running i noticed that the abs light was on and the message center was in test mode. I went through the test mode and part number 4L2T-10849-CF came up. Also serial #081984A Codes A659,9318 and 9352also came up. I shut it off and disconnected the ground for the battery because it was corroded. Once I cleaned it up I re-connected it and now I have nothing. Somtimes the chimes,radio,seats and other misc. gadgets work, but the thing just wont turn over. I have put the battery charger on it-all seems well. I can't start it with a jump either. Any advice will be greatly appreaciated.

Some Explorers, including mine lately, have experienced INTERMITTENT failure to kick over....meaning everything is fine for weeks/months, then one day it cranks just fine, but doesn't kick over or even seem like it wants to try. You'll need to read up on past posts cause different people have had different luck with EEC relay, fuel pump relay, bad connection at the PCM. Mechanics won't be able to help unless it's doing it when in their hands. Someone recently told me that when you first turn the key and the dash lights come on, check to see if the "check engine" light is on. If not, try to start it. If it just cranks, that's a sign it has something to do with the PCM or connections
